Why North Bay Homes Need Professional Duct Cleaning

Your home’s ductwork circulates air thousands of times per year. Every time your furnace or air conditioner runs, air passes through those ducts—picking up and redistributing whatever has accumulated inside them.

In North Bay and Northern Ontario, our long heating season means your HVAC system works overtime. From October through April, your ducts are constantly moving air—and constantly accumulating dust, pet dander, pollen, and debris. Older homes in neighborhoods like Birchaven, Ferris, Pinewood, and Airport Hill often have original 1950s-1980s ductwork that has been collecting contaminants for decades.

The Hidden Problem:

  • Dust and allergens accumulate in ductwork over years—invisible but constantly recirculating
  • Every heating cycle blows these contaminants back into your living space
  • Northern Ontario’s 8+ month heating season means more recirculation than most regions
  • Pet dander, mold spores, and construction dust become permanent residents in uncleaned ducts
  • Family members with allergies or asthma often suffer without knowing the cause

The Mason Solution

Our 5,000 CFM commercial-grade vacuum system creates genuine negative pressure throughout your entire duct system. We seal every register, connect to your main trunk line through a sealed access point, and run continuous extraction. Every particle of dust, dander, and debris exits your home through our triple-filtered system. The result: cleaner air, reduced allergens, and a home that feels fresher from the first breath.

Commercial-Grade Equipment That Actually Works

The quality of a duct cleaning comes down to two things: EXPERTISE & the equipment. Not all duct cleaning is created equal, and the difference is in the extraction power and 45+ years experience.
Our Equipment Specifications:
5,000 CFM Commercial Vacuum — Pulls 5,000 cubic feet of air per minute, creating true negative pressure throughout your entire duct systemTriple Filtration System — Three-stage filtration captures 99.9% of all dust and debris—nothing escapes back into your homeSealed Access Points — Every connection point is sealed to maintain negative pressure and prevent dust escape220-Volt Power System — Commercial-grade power for sustained, consistent extraction throughout the entire cleaning process
Why This Matters:
Our 5,000 CFM system creates the negative pressure required to actually extract debris from your entire duct system. We seal every register, connect directly to your main trunk line through a sealed access point, and run continuous suction. All debris travels through our sealed system to the triple-filtered collection unit—nothing enters your living space.
The Result
Every particle of dust, pet dander, and debris exits your home through our sealed, triple-filtered system. Your home stays cleaner than we found it. That's our zero-mess guarantee.

What Happens When We Arrive

A standard residential duct cleaning takes approximately 2.5 hours. Here's exactly what to expect:

Step 1: Arrival & Assessment (15 minutes)

Our technician arrives, introduces themselves, and walks through your home to assess your duct system. We identify all access points, count registers, and explain the process. We answer any questions before we begin.

Step 2: System Preparation (15 minutes)

We seal every floor register throughout your home to create a closed system. Our commercial vacuum is connected to the main trunk line through a sealed access point. This creates negative pressure throughout your entire duct system—nothing can escape.

Step 3: Extraction & Cleaning (90 minutes)

With continuous 5,000 CFM suction running, we work through each section of your duct system. The powerful negative pressure draws out years of accumulated dust, debris, and allergens. All debris travels through our sealed system to the triple-filtered collection unit—nothing enters your living space.

Step 4: Sanitization & Completion (30 minutes)

Optional organic, EPA-registered disinfectant treatment eliminates mold, bacteria, and odors without leaving chemical residue. We remove all seals, properly close access points, and walk you through what we found. We show you the collected debris—you’ll be surprised by what was living in your ducts.

ABOUT the Owner

David Mason, WETT-Certified Inspector & Installer, Serving Northern Ontario Since 1981
At Mason Cleaning Systems Inc., we're not a franchise or a call center—we're a family-owned Northern Ontario company built on one purpose: protecting homes and buildings from fire hazards and poor indoor air quality. I'm David Mason, and I founded this company in 1981. For more than 45 years, I've worked in attics, crawl spaces, boiler rooms, and rooftops across the Near North. I hold both WETT Inspector and WETT Installer certifications—the credentials your insurance company recognizes for wood-burning appliances. Many companies can sweep a chimney. Very few can legally certify it.
Our trucks roll Highway 11 and Highway 17 every week. When you call, you're not getting a subcontractor—you're getting a local team that's been accountable to this region since 1981, and will be here long after the job is done.
